
AS Retail: Jetts Fitness continues their Ascent.

Jetts Fitness are rapidly approaching the 25 Club milestone in the UK with their latest club on Kirkstall Road in Leeds opening in mid January and the fit out at High Street, Harlesden (London) completing shortly.

Jetts are one of the market leaders in Health & Fitness, finding a real USP in the affordable premium sector of the market. The clubs look fantastic with high quality equipment, personal trainers and classes giving the feel and vibe of a boutique fitness club but at an affordable monthly price point with no sign on fees or lock-in periods. Originating from Australia, where they are one of the dominant forces in the sector, they entered the UK market in 2017 with a small club in Birmingham and have steadily grown over period via selected multi-site business owners.
The brand now has nationwide presence with clubs from Newquay to Leeds, Accrington to London and various locations in between. Recent openings include Lichfield, Basingstoke, Farnham, Leeds (Colton Retail Park) & Burnt Oak (London) plus there is strong pipeline of new clubs coming on stream this year including introducing the brand to Wales.

AS Retail are appointed to grow the presence further over the next few years; working closely with the network of business owners and support office team we help identify the perfect sites for new Jetts clubs and then assist with navigating the legal and technical process from Heads of Terms to key collection. We have requirements all across England but with a particular focus on Greater London, South East England, M4 corridor, the East & West Midlands & Yorkshire.
There is no ‘cookie-cutter’ approach with each club designed bespoke meaning that we can consider all sorts of property types in different demographic areas. Whilst Jetts prefer to be in more affluent markets, such as Wandsworth, Hammersmith and Clapham where there are successful clubs, the brand works well in smaller towns with a more neighbourhood gym feel but also on retail parks where it can appeal to the masses and even in areas of lower average income. The pricing model is fairly flexible but there is no compromise on the appearance of the clubs; they are all the coolest gyms in town.
The optimum size is around 7,500 sq ft but they can go as small as 4,000 sq ft and as large as 12,000 sq ft (or more); out of town retail parks, roadside retail showrooms, high street shops, offices, trade counters, warehouses and even alternative properties such as churches can all be considered.
