Having previously undertaken acquisition work for specialist SEND school – Serenity School, Serenity once again engaged Hurst Warne services to help source new premises for a school they wished to open in the Croydon area for approximately 400 students. Having assessed large numbers of potential buildings and sites on Serenity’s behalf, Hurst Warne were contacted about the The Old Palace of John Whitgift, Old Palace Road, Croydon facility, coming onto the market via Knight Frank, on behalf of John Whitgift Foundation.

The property was previously occupied by an all-girls private school that closed this summer. Hurst Warne agreed terms for a specialist educational investor client of the company’s to purchase the facility, linked to Serenity School taking a new lease on the property.
