Manchester Commercial Property Website League Table
NovaLoca and ZipBox have conducted an analysis of Manchester commercial property websites to see how effective the sector is in promoting itself online.
We analysed 62 websites listing commercial property with an office in Manchester. Each site was given a score out of 130 combining the website’s score from the independent online tool Website Grader and our own assessment of the property search, content, news etc.
The research was conducted in July this year, so represents a snapshot of results at the time. If your website is not included or if you have any comments please let us know. If there is sufficient interest we would be happy to produce updated league tables. We also plan to carry out research in other parts of the country so will be able to let you know how Manchester compares to elsewhere!

Property Search Score
According to 94% of entrants who responded to a poll we ran on Twitter and the ZipBox website in June 2016, the most important feature of a commercial property website is the property search.
The search score offered 5 points for prominence of the search on home page, 5 points for usability of the search/list, 5 points for full details information and 5 points for searching/displaying properties on a map.
Content, Social & Usability Score
For this category the overall score of 10 points was made up of 2 points for a blog/news section, 2 for a social media presence, 2 points for a recent blog/news article, 2 points for featured properties on your page & 2 points for prominent contact details on the home page.
