Bowyer Bryce has announced the letting of the 16,600 sq ft industrial unit in Welwyn Garden City at One Bessemer Park to John Jones Ltd on a 10-year lease. The deal, done by joint agents Leighton Goldhill, is for an annual rent of £100,000 with a rent review in 2017. The tenant is to pay half-rent for the first two years of the lease and has the option to break at the end of the fifth year, subject to a three-month penalty.

Meanwhile sbh Page & Read’s Enfield office has reported the letting of offices in Enfield, on Innova Park, to Oasis Community Learning on a 10-year lease. The 7,620 sq ft office space on the ground floor of the east wing of Innova House has been let at an annual rent of £96,870. Also in Enfield, the firm has let a 10,000 sq ft industrial unit at the Watermill Business Centre on a lease totalling 10 years and six months, at an annual rent of £75,000. Two industrial units in Tottenham, on the Triumph Trading Estate, have also been let: one comprising 3,025 sq ft for three years at an annual rent of £22,766; and the other comprising 6,340 sq ft for five years at an annual rent of £40,768.

In addition, a 4,470 sq ft industrial unit in Hertford on Mead Lane has been let for 10 years at a £26,000 annual rent to 1st Call MOT Centre; and a second unit comprising 7,888 sq ft on the same road has been let for six years at £36,000 per annum to 4 Ace Limited. A 1,200 sq ft industrial property in Edmonton on the Hastingwood Trading Estate has been let to S&R Windows for one year at a £9,920 annual rent.

A retail property in Enfield has been let for 15 years by sbh Page & Read at an annual rent of £34,200. The 2.282 sq ft property is on the ground floor of Nicon House on Silver Street.

sbh Page & Read has also reported three sales: 11,697 sq ft of office space in Hertford, Collier House, has been sold for £910,000 to Team Q Maintenance; the 3,850 sq ft retail premises in Tottenham at 421 Lordship Lane has been bought by J Sainsbury for £730,000; and ERA Rodman Bros has bought a 6,000 sq ft industrial unit in Tottenham, on Tariff Road, for £450,000.
