Which areas of the UK felt the 60% summer increase in enquiries?

Land, office and industrial were the biggest beneficiaries as commercial property enquiries on NovaLoca rose by 60% over the summer.

Research looking into the number of calls, email enquiries and internet traffic showed that both were up 60% in July and August, compared to the figures of April and May.

Email enquiries for land were up over 100%, which could represent the need for development space across the UK, while enquiries for office space saw an incredible increase of 90% over the summer, with figures for industrial units revealing a near 50% rise.

Figures for retail showed a steady rise, albeit at 20%, while there was no significant increase in leisure enquiries.

Geographically, the South West benefitted from the biggest increase in enquiries, closely followed by Wales. The increase in enquiries was felt across the country, apart from in the North East, where there was no significant change.

The increase in enquiries comes as no surprise in some areas, especially after we interviewed several agents who list on NovaLoca who reported a general growing optimism in the market so far this year.

It is unclear whether these figures represent the market as a whole, but we would love to hear if these trends of increased enquiries are being felt to the same extent that we have seen on NovaLoca.
