Moray is situated in the northeast of Scotland extending inland from the south of the Moray Firth and bordering Aberdeenshire and Highland. Elgin is the largest town and the administrative centre.

Speyside whisky distilleries are one of the region’s main tourist attractions with food and drink processing being the main manufacturing industry. Other manufacturing sectors include shipbuilding and equipment for the North Sea Oil industry.

The A95 and A96 are the main roads through the region. There are several train stations across the region with regular trains arriving into Elgin from London Kings Cross, Edinburgh and Glasgow via Inverness or Aberdeen. The closest airports are Inverness and Aberdeen.
