Location

Murton is located in East Durham just off the A19 north-south trunk road and lies a few miles from Seaham, Peterlee and Easington.

The Dalton Park Outlet Mall with a variety of trade outlets and Cineworld multiscreen Cinema and pub diner restaurants lie between Murton Village and the A19 to the east.

A considerable amount of new housing has been constructed in Murton over the last decade with planning recently granted for another 1,500 homes. To the South lies the fromer Coke Works, now Jade Business Park, c. 55 acres of speculative mixed use, industrial and office development of up to £XXXm sq ft.

The nearest retail facilities to Jade Business Park are the new shops on Church Street accessed via Hawthorn Close and other footpath links.
