Our client, Henry Boot Developments Ltd has been appointed as preferred developers for the 200 acre (81 hectare) Markham Vale development on the former Markham, Bolsover and Ireland collieries in the North Derbyshire coalfield. It forms the largest single employment development opportunity in Derbyshire and will benefit from a dedicated motorway junction, the new Junction 29A on the M1 Motorway. Our client is due to take possession of development plots during summer 2007, which will allow them to deliver buildings from early 2008. The new motorway junction is currently under construction and is due for completion in December 2007. The development can accommodate units up to 92,900 m² (1 million ft²) which will be available on either a leasehold or freehold basis. Location: The site is located approximately 8 km (5 miles) to the East of Chesterfield Town Centre and is bisected by the M1 Motorway.
