Location

The Orkney Research and Innovation Campus is located in Stromness where much of the activity in the energy and low carbon sectors in Orkney takes place. This unit is located in the Charles Clouston building, named after the prominent Stromness-born polymath and provides modern facilities for the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) and environmental consultancy Aquatera Ltd. Other organisations located on this part of the campus are Orkney Hyperbaric Trust and underwater services provider, Sula Diving.  Elsewhere on the campus is Heriot-Watt University’s International Centre for Island Technology and Robert Gordon University’s Orkney office.
