Venturefields lies half a mile south of Widnes Town Centre, directly opposite The Hive Leisure scheme, in the Widnes Waterfront regeneration area. It is anticipated that circa £XXXmillion will be invested in the area over the next decade developing commercial, leisure and residential opportunities.

The Hive leisure scheme includes; Reel Cinemas, Widnes Superbowl, Nando's, Frankie and Benny's, Brewer's Fayre Buffet Place and a 60 bed Premier Inn hotel. The scheme also includes a major ice rink.

Widnes Shopping Park is located nearby. Occupiers include Mark and Spencer, BHS, Next and Boots.

In addition to being close to retail and leisure uses, the site also sits opposite the now fully occupied Widnes trade park and new B&Q superstore. Turnstone Business Park is also adjacent to the site providing high quaility new build office accommodation with occupiers including Halton Borough Council.

The site, which is prominently located, is accessed from Earle Road and is close to the junction of A562 Fiddlers Ferry Road and A557 Eastern By-Pass. This provides easy access to junction 7 of the M62, 4 miles to the north, giving access to Liverpool, Warrington and Manchester.

To the south lies the Runcorn Bridge linking to the Wirral, Chester, North Wales and M56 Junction 12 (5 miles).
