Leicester is a historic city known for its rich history, cultural diversity, and modern vibrancy. It is the largest city in the East Midlands and is notable for its Roman and medieval history, as well as for being the birthplace of modern tourism and hosting large Diwali celebrations. Today, it is a major commercial center with two universities and a large student population, a significant sporting community including the Leicester Tigers rugby team and the Premier League champion Leicester City Football Club, and a wide array of attractions, shopping, and street art.
The city lies on the River Soar and is approximately 90 miles north-west of London, 33 miles north-east of Birmingham and 21 miles north-east of Coventry. Nottingham and Derby lie around 21 miles to the north and north-west respectively, whilst Peterborough is located 37 miles to the east. Leicester is close to the eastern end of the National Forest.
The site is located to the rear of The Bradgate Hotel, accessed from Andover Street and is located in a mainly residential area, just south east of the city centre, which is a short walk away.
