The A-Listed Mansion House is steeped in history and is an excellent example of Scots Baronial architecture, which was built in 1848 by David Bryce for the Dunlop family, and remains a truly impressive building. Following the completion of a restoration programme in 1993, the Mansion House has been well maintained to the present day, and offers a unique development opportunity within a wonderful parkland setting.

The building displays a number of external features of significant architectural merit to provide a grand and imposing structure within the Park. In recent years it has been used for assisted living with accommodation across 13 apartments. The park itself provides a number of walks, taking in the Rose Garden, which has been recognised by the World Federation of Rose Societies. The park also contains a Children's Farm and Visitor Centre and Winter Garden Glasshouse. An application has been lodged to bring the Winter Garden Conservatory back into use. It is anticipated that £1m of Grant funding will be provided through the Town Centre Action Programme to bring the structure back into re-use as part of the wider plans to develop the adjacent site as an Early Learning and Child Care facility. The application notes that the �XXXbuilding will provide a range of possible uses that will benefit the local community and specifically users of Tollcross Park. Temporary caf�XXX facilities with indoor seating accessible to park users are central to the repurposing proposals.'
