Custom House, 306 Clyde Street, Glasgow, G1 4NP

The existing building, Custom House, is a Grade A listed building of blonde sandstone construction, designed by John Taylor, and completed in 1840. The building originally housed officials who collected duties on imports and exports at the harbour and held registers of ships. The famed Glasgow architect, Alexander Greek Thomson, carried out modifications to the building in 1873. It was later used as the Procurator Fiscals office.

The listed building will be sensitively developed to incorporate bar, restaurant and other related facilities, while the new tower buildings will add further space while principally housing bedroom accommodation.

The new iconic building will dominate the skyline in this part of the city centre, effectively linking Glasgows Style Mile of Buchanan Street with the Waterfront area.

The development will incorporate an exciting mix of old and new elements, capturing Glasgows rich architectural
history along with the modern vibrancy of the city.

The scheme will be flexible enough to be adapted to most international hotel brand requirements.
