Loch Shiel Hotel is a traditional country house hotel situated in its own grounds in the village of Acharacle on the south west end of Loch Shiel. Loch Shiel is a 17 mile long fresh water loch situated some 12 � miles west of Fort William near to Ardnamurchan, the most westerly point of the Scottish mainland. The loch was recently used as a location for the film series of Harry Potter as the Black Lake near Hogwarts. The area is a popular tourist destination with Ardnamurchan appealing to a variety of visitors, given its geographical position. There has been a recent development of a whiskey distillery on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula which is now a firm favourite on the whiskey trail. We understand that visitor numbers to the distillery are on the increase with a 20% uplift in 2017 compared to 2016.

The Loch Shiel Hotel is an attractive traditional 9 bedroom country house hotel with restaurant, public bar and dining areas. The hotel has recently been redecorated to a high standard throughout. The property has a large grassed garden towards the front, a raised decking area for residents and guests and at the rear there is detached owners accommodation and staff accommodation.
