Loch Shiel Hotel is a traditional country house hotel situated in its own grounds in the village of Acharacle on the south west end of Loch Shiel. Loch Shiel is a 17 mile long fresh water loch situated some 12 � miles west of Fort William near to Ardnamurchan, the most westerly point of the Scottish mainland. The loch was recently used as a location for the film series of Harry Potter as the Black Lake near Hogwarts.
