Location Highlights



The property occupies an elevated location to the western side of the Derwent Valley, with attractive long distance views of the Dales and upland areas to the north and east and is located close to the small Village of Whatstandwell in the Derwent Valley, approximately 6 miles southeast of Matlock and 17 miles to the north of Derby. Whatstandwell lies on the A6 through route between Derby and Matlock, and the property is accessed from the B5035 between Whatstandwell and Wirksworth, being conveniently located for shops and services in Matlock, together with the local services available along the main A6 route, including those at Ambergate and Belper.

Further afield, there is access via the A38 towards the M1 (Junction 28) and via the A61 towards Chesterfield 15 miles to the northeast as well as the City of Sheffield approximately 27 miles (via the A61). The City of Nottingham is 22 miles to the southeast via the A610.

There are regular bus services along the Derwent valley between Matlock and Belper. East Midlands Trains operate a local railway service between Matlock and Derby (stopping at Whatsandwell ) and from Derby there is access to the National Rail network.
