The property is situated at the end of Bishops Walk, a minor country lane on the western bank of the River Severn at its confluence with the Mill Avon. Tewkesbury (population 19,778) is a busy market town and is noted for its Norman abbey. The original town has not expanded significantly due to the neighbouring floodplains and the main employment areas are situated at Tewkesbury Ash Church which is located on the east side of the town by Junction 9 of the M5 motorway.
