Location

The property is located to the south side of the village of Maud and is accessed via Bank Road. Maud itself represents a small rural settlement which stands around 29 miles north of Aberdeen, around 13 miles west of Peterhead and around 14 miles east of Turriff. Maud itself originally developed around its role as an agricultural service centre and historically included a busy livestock auction mart. The majority of the land surrounding the settlement remains in agricultural use, however the former auction mart has been redeveloped to provide community facilities. The settlement continues to act as a service centre for the surrounding agricultural community and the population base within the village. Local amenities and facilities include a small business centre, health centre, gym, primary school, two convenience stores, several other local shops and The Station Hotel. The village has a varied economic base which is largely associated with agricultural service industries.
