Residential development site suitable for the construction of 8 or 9 homes, available as a whole or as separate serviced plots.
Location
Kilrenny is a quiet village located one mile northeast of Anstruther in the East Neuk of Fife. The tower of the ancient church is thought to date back to the 1400s, but the rest of the church was rebuilt in 1808 using the original stones as building rubble. The attractive village has many well-preserved houses in the local vernacular style, with crow-stepped gables, datestones, forestairs and pan-tiled roofs.
Originally founded as a fishing village, the small town of Anstruther has a range of shops and local amenities including primary and secondary schooling. The Scottish Fisheries Museum is located in Anstruther as is the famous Anstruther Fish Bar which has won numerous awards.
Accommodation
If the plots are sold as serviced plots, each plot sold will be subject to a design brief which will confirm the range of architectural styles and materials which each house can be built to. The overall aim is to allow each buyer to construct a bespoke home, but one which fits well within the setting and in relation to the neighbouring properties.
A plot can be reserved upon payment of a £500 deposit. A missive is then issued and a further payment of £500 is made. The £1,000 is deducted from the overall sale price of the plot.
