    Location

    Burtree Garden Village is a 440 acre site to the north of Darlington that secured Garden Communities Status by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and local Government (MHCLG) in July 2019 and an allocation within the Darlington Borough Council (DBC) Local Plan in March 2022.

    The allocation seeks to deliver approximately 2,200 new homes, a village centre, a primary school, a significant amount of employment space, along with an extensive and integrated blue/green network incorporating a new 8 ha (20 acre) public park and nature reserve.
