The elevations are part clad in brick and part brushed concrete under a flat felt roof. On the Normandy Road frontage there are two internal staircases which are cantilevered and project forward over the pavement at head height.
Along the Orchard Road frontage is the access to the enclosed police station courtyard with parking for 9 vehicles and the public entrance to the station itself. Internally, the magistrates court accommodation comprises two large full height court rooms located towards the rear and accessed off a large reception area, with various ancillary rooms located in the front, two storey section at both ground and first floors. The police station comprises the cells along with office and storage on the ground floor, there are further offices on the first floor, along with rest room, staff kitchen and canteen. All windows are single glazed.
We understand that all M&E/ services are shared with the adjoining police station; the main boiler room is located within the polices title.
In addition to the main site, there is a surfaced car parking area, located immediately to the southwest, with enough space for approximately 47 cars.
