Culham Innovation Centre is located on Culham Science Centre, which also houses the head office of the UK Atomic Energy Authority, the UK’s fusion research programme Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE), and the world’s largest fusion experimental facility, JET (Joint European Torus).
Culham Science Centre is a purpose-built laboratory for the UK Fusion programme, set up in 1960 on a former Fleet Air Arm Airfield, and occupying approximately 180 acres. It is 10 miles south-east of Oxford, 2 miles from the town of Abingdon and 5 miles from Didcot. Both Abingdon and Didcot are within easy reach of the A34, M40 and the M4 and there is a mainline railway station at Didcot Parkway with fast links to London, Oxford, the Midlands, South and North of the UK.

Culham Innovation Centre offers over 10,000 sq ft of office space, with suites ranging from 100 sq ft to a more extensive area comprising 1,334 sq ft. The Innovation Centre typically houses over 30 businesses at any time, many of whom work within science and technology-related industries.
