The Port of Weston is located on the Manchester Ship Canal, adjacent to the River Mersey approximately two miles west of Runcorn. Road communications are good, with the town being three miles from J12 of the M56 Motorway and five miles from the M62 Motorway.

The port is situated in a mixed-use area of industrial and residential properties, with nearby occupiers including Ineos Chlor Limited who occupy a large site to the north west of the port. Access to the site is via West Road, Sandy Lane and the A577 which in turn gives access to the M62 Motorway to the north and M56 Motorway to the south east.
