2 storey house with a harled exterior with late Georgian detailing. Category B Listed, of 18th century origin remodelled in 1790. A broad shallow bowed front, similar to many country houses in Ayrshire dominates the principal elevation and obscures much of the older house which was originally the Auchincruive Estate factor’s house. The house has been badly damaged by fire with much of the roof of the main structure now removed with only its shell remaining. We understand that prior to the fire the main house was split into self-contained flats. The slated roof over the original cottage remains intact.

Location

St Quivox is located just off the A77 to the east and can also be accessed via the B743 Ayr/Mauchline Road which is also the primary access to Auchincruive College. The house, which sits on an elevated position with open views towards the west, is set in approx. 1 acre. It has the benefit of a tarmac driveway with hedgerows, shrubs and trees forming the perimeter.
