Site of a former public house with lapsed Outline Planning Consent for demolition of the exiting building and construction of dwellings. The land overlooks open space. There is considerable scope for refurbishment of the existing building (subject to planning) as well as constructing another dwelling.
The site is developed with a rendered brick and concrete tiled former public house which has been used for many years as an upholsterer's workshop and store which has now been vacant for the last two to three years.
The site is situated in an established residential area developed with semi detached houses and is adjacent to footpaths which lead to Alfreton Road, Gill Street and to Henning Lane and the Mapplewells Primary School.
The site has the advantage of an open aspect over a restored tip which is currently an open space with extensive views towards Huthwaite.
Location
The land is situated at the westerm end of Mapplewells Road which is situated on the west side of Alfreton Road, close to the roundabout junction with Frederick Street and Woodlands Way. PLANNING
Planning consent was granted by Ashfield District Council in accordance with Planning Decision Notice 2010/0401 dated the 19th of August 2010 for the demolition of the existing building and the re-development of the site for residential development for a maximum of three dwellings. A copy of the Planning Approval is available for inspection at the Agents office as is the sketch plan that accompanied the Design and Access Statement.
This planning consent has lapsed and will require renewing. The original consent was for a larger site and included an area of land which is not the Vendor's ownership.
