The subjects comprise two irregular shaped agricultural fields, separated by a livestock fence and internal field gate. The northern field is relatively level lying, however, the southern field is undulating with a general downward slope from east to west. Access is provided via a single field gate, over the roadside verge, on the western side of Torwood Road. Boundaries are set out in a mix of timber fencing and traditional timber post and wire livestock fencing.

Location

Lockerbie is a small market town located in the Dumfries & Galloway region of southwest Scotland and has a population of approximately 4,100. The town is immediately adjacent to the A74(M) motorway (Junctions 17 & 18) providing excellent access to the main road network. Carlisle is located around 22 miles to the south whilst both Glasgow and Edinburgh are approximately 70 miles to the north. The fields are located on the northern periphery of the town. The access gate into the fields is situated approximately 200 yards north of the B7068 and Junction 17 of the A74(M).

PLANNING The subjects are covered by the Dumfries & Galloway Local Development Plan II which was adopted on the 3 rd October 2019. Within said Plan the subjects have no specific zoning.
