Nottinghamshire commercial property locations

The county of Nottinghamshire shares its borders with the English counties of South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, and Derbyshire. The traditional county town is Nottingham, although the current county council is based in West Bridgford. The site of Sherwood Forest, the legendary home to Robin Hood and his Merry Men, Nottinghamshire boasts a contrast of large commercial cities, historic market towns and rural villages.

The city of Nottingham is known as the commercial and retail centre of the county, boasting a prolific commercial business property market, offering shops to buy, units to let and industrial property for sale. Other major commercial and retail centres include Mansfield, with numerous opportunities to rent industrial units, buy commercial property office space and purchase retail units; Worksop, with industrial property for rent, office space to let and commercial office property to buy; and Chesterfield, which contains commercial property for rent in its central business district.

The M1 runs through the county connecting Nottinghamshire’s towns to London to the south and Leeds to the North. The Midland Main Line runs through Nottingham as it connects London St Pancras station to Sheffield whilst the East Coast Main Line service from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh via Leeds, York and Newcastle-Upon-Tyne also stops at Newark and Retford in the eastern region of Nottinghamshire. These excellent connections ensure that commercial business property in the county retains good connections with surrounding town and cities as well as with the rest of the country.
