Location

The site is situated on the south-eastmost side of the B6456 trunk road route, benefiting access therefrom, being located a short distance from the Scottish Borders village of Westruther. The subjects are situated adjacent to the former Fingerpost Farm and Cattery complex in what is considered to be a rural/agricultural location with some residential properties located nearby.

The subjects are situated approximately 7 miles south-east of Carfraemill, where the A697 meets the A68. The village of Westruther is situated approximately 2 miles to the north-east with Lauder being located approximately 4 miles to the west and Greenlaw approximately 6 miles to the east of the subjects.

Accommodation

The subjects are situated on the south-eastmost side of the B6456 trunk road route benefiting from vehicle access therefrom. The front element of the site is roughly level being surfaced in gravel, hard core and woodland vegetation. The rear section incorporates a steeply sloping gradient which is overgrown, the rear section being at raised level.

The site did form part of the larger farm complex and Fingerpost Kennels/Cattery adjacent, this particular part of the complex having been developed it would appear to be additional cattery accommodation. These buildings are situated to the rear of the site and are formed in a horseshoe design but we have no information regarding verification of completion.

The boundaries on site are formed in a combination of timber post and wire fencing, timber fencing and hedgerows/shrubbery.

The buildings on site are of brick/block construction rendered externally under corrugated metal sheet roofs and are of a basic unfinished standard.
