3.11 acres / Land

Withdrawn - Last updated: 29 January 2015

*Closing date for offers - 12 noon, Friday 28 March 2014*

Description

The site of the former Dumbryden Primary School extends to 1.26 Ha (3.11 acres), and is accessed from Dumbryden Drive. The school has since been demolished, leaving a level site for redevelopment. There is a small area of millennium planting (0.04 Ha: coloured yellow) to the north east of the site that will require to be maintained by the purchaser and also the Council will require to reserve a vehicular access/egress through the site for maintenance of the open space to the south.

Planning
A previous proposal from a housing association had been put forward for the development of 58 units comprising a mix of property types and styles. No formal planning application was submitted. Any development which comes forward should ensure that the Council policies are achieved in terms of parking provision, daylighting, privacy and open space. The Council is also keen to ensure that the site integrates with the adjacent residential communities and any proposals should demonstrate how they achieve this. Any development proposals which come forward should ensure that they comply with the appropriate legislation with regards to preapplication consultation should the development be for a major application.
