The subjects under report comprise a somewhat irregular shaped parcel of ground which is at present utilised for agricultural purposes. Vehicle access to the site is provided from Carlisle Road, with the subjects bounded to the west by the A702 and to the east by a main railway line.
Location
The subjects lie on the southern outskirts of the village of Crawford,with the subjects accessed from Carlisle Road and also overlooking the A702. The surrounding area is mixed residential and agricultural in nature. The village of Crawford is situated approximately 20 miles to the south east of Hamilton and is accessed from junction 14 of the M74 motorway. Crawford is a small predominantly residential village, and retains a low level of inherent population. The village forms part of the South Lanarkshire jurisdiction.
