The cleared site formerly housed a job centre within a building measuring 2,850sqft (265sqm). However, discussions with Staffordshire Moorlands District Council have been held to discuss a proposal to construct a new three storey property on site (subject to planning permission).
It is propsed that the scheme could incorporate approximately 380sqm of retail floor space on the ground floor and possibly eight apartments on the upper floors. The retail property would have its own service access and a separate car park would provide a designated car parking space for each proposed apartment. Alternatively the site could be developed for other uses or pre development be utilised for storage subject to planning approval.
