In the East Anglia region of England, Norfolk shares borders with Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk and has a North Sea coastline including The Wash area. Norfolkâs County town is Norwich, the only city in the county. Other commercial towns in the region include the port town of Kings Lynn and the gateway to the Broads and popular seaside resort, Great Yarmouth. The Norfolk Broads, an area of the county largely to the north is well known for its wildlife and attractions such as the Royal residence at Sandringham generate an economy in the region based on tourism which supplements the traditional agricultural industry.
With no motorways in the county access from Norfolk to Cambridge and London is along the A11 whilst the A47 runs west towards the East Midlands.
