Hertfordshire commercial property locations

One of the Home Counties and dating back to 1011, Hertfordshire is bordered by Greater London, Essex, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire. The name of the County town, Hertford, literally means ‘deer crossing’. Hertfordshire is home to Letchworth, the world’s first Garden City which is also the location of the first roundabout. The county’s major commercial and retail centres can be found at Watford, Hemel Hempsted, St Albans, and Welwyn Garden City.
With its proximity to London, Hertfordshire is well served by both road and rail. The M25, M1, M11 and A1M all run through the county linking to London in the south as well as to the north, the north-west and the west of the country. Major rail services from London to Yorkshire and Scotland go through Stevenage and services from London to the Midlands, the North-west and Wales go through Watford. Smaller links run through a number of stations in the county from London towards Cambridge, Peterborough and Norwich.
