Devon is found in the south-west of England and shares borders with Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset with coastlines on the Bristol Channel and English Channel. The coastline here is otherwise known as the Jurassic Coast due to the archaeology in the area. The County town of Exeter, the port of Plymouth and the seaside resorts of Torbay form the county’s commercial centres, with much of the rest of the county occupied by the Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks.
The M5 is the main artery into the region. This joins the M4 for access towards London, or continues north towards Birmingham and the M6 motorway.
